My journey to complete my WSET level 2 and my WSET 3 certifications was populated with many tastings and bottles of fine wine. In the older posts, read about my journey in this blog that featured wines in both of the courses. My next stop on my journey was doing my own wine tours in the Okanagan for 6 years. Now I'm retired (again) and just drinking - and tasting - wine! Join me as we taste a new wine every couple of weeks!

Time to Taste a Provence Rosé - from a winery partially owned by Brad Pitt!
This time we try a Provence Rosé - beautiful light pink wine from the South of France. This 2024 Miraval Studio is a very good wine with a great price but is also famous as being partially owned by Brad Pitt! This wine is a tasty patio pounder but really sings when having a snack, a charcuterie, salad or sushi. After watching this video, why not find out what kinds or rosé the Okanagan has to offer by booking a wine tour this summer using this link: https://www.wineandthensommwinetours.com/contact-us

Time to Taste a Super Tuscan!
This time we try a Super Tuscan - wine made in Italy with a blend of Italian grapes (like Sangiovese) and International grapes (like Syrah). This 2020 Tenute Rossetti all’Uso Toscano is made in the Governo style which means that some of the grapes were dried on straw mats and then added to the already fermented wine to start a second fermentation. This makes a richer wine that is perfect for Tuscan food - and a lot more!

Time to Taste a Chateauneuf-du-Pape wine from the Southern Rhone of France
This time we try a 2022 Domaine Clef de Saint Thomas Pierre Troupel Chateauneuf-du-Pape from the Southern Rhone. This wine comes from a very famous region of France and the wine is a bit of a splurge but is also a wonderful blend that is perfect for a special occasion.

Time to Taste a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc
This time we try a Sauv Blanc from Marlborough in New Zealand. Some Sauv Blancs from this area tend to taste a bit like lemonade - but not this 2023 Aronui Sauvignon Blanc!
After you've watched the vide, why not book a tour this summer to taste Okanagan Sauvignon Blanc!

Time to Try a French Pinot Noir that Doesn't Break the Bank!
This time we try a French Pinot Noir - but not from Burgundy. This 2023 Bouchard Aîné et Fils is priced at only $20 and just might punch above its class! After checking out the video, why not book a tour this summer to taste some delicious Pinot Noir in the Okanagan?
