Time to Taste a Special Wine from Madiran, France


Madiran is a wine region in South West France in Gascony. The wines there usually have the Tannat grape in the mix. Tannat is a rich, bold, and somewhat tannic grape that makes a wine that is perfect for a special occasion! This producer makes a wonderful wine, a 2017 Brumont Chateau Montus, often referred to as the Petrus of the South West.

This time we try a Chardonnay from Ardèche - just west of the Rhone Valley in France. Louis Latour made this 2020 Ardèche Chardonnay to compete with the Chardonnay from Burgundy - and it does a very nice job!
