Sémillon for $20? That’s a great price! But how did this Chilean Sémillon (a 2022 Morande Valle Del Maule Sémillon) from the Valle del Maule stack up? Watch the video!
My journey to complete my WSET level 2 and my WSET 3 certifications was populated with many tastings and bottles of fine wine. In the older posts, read about my journey in this blog that featured wines in both of the courses. Now that I have completed my WSET 3, I now use this as a place to review and talk about different wines that I am currently drinking as well as wineries that I visit in my new role as a private Wine Tour Guide.

Time to Taste some Angel Wine from Spain
This time we taste a Tempranillo from the Ribera del Duero in Spain. The Pago Del Cielo Celeste Crianza was aged for 12 months in oak and longer in the bottle. Pago Del Cielo means money from Heaven and this wine seems made by the angels!
Ribera del Duero is located along the Duero (or Douro) River in the Meseta Central or central plateau of Spain. It is home to a 115 km by 35 km strip of vineyard that stretches along the Duero River basin. It is one of the highest vineyards in the northern hemisphere and is well known for high quality grapes.
